A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone to act as a replacement “root.” Once the area has healed and integrated with the bone, a bespoke, natural-looking crown is attached. Most patients find the procedure much more comfortable than they anticipated. We use local anaesthetic to ensure the area is completely numb, so you should only feel some pressure during the treatment. Any post-operative tenderness is typically mild—often described as similar to a routine extraction—and can be managed with standard over-the-counter pain relief.

Dental implant treatment is a multi-stage process to ensure the best long-term outcome. After the implant is placed, a healing period of 3 to 6 months is usually required for the bone to integrate with the post. Once this foundation is secure, we attach your final custom-made crown.
